Erythromycin-benzoyl Peroxide Topical Gel Use?

396545389 Well I recently went to a dermatologist and he prescribed me Erythromycin-benzoyl peroxide topical gel for my acne. I have no idea on how to apply it or how much to apply. Also do I wash it off after like an hour or what? I have no idea on how to apply it/if I can wish it afterwards later. Please help me.
Also will it make my skin dry? I just have to use it on my blackheads and pimples. I'm confused.

  2. She eats people - Just apply it according to the directions. Generally they will instruct you to apply it to all the affected areas on your face after you wash and "pat dry" your face (either in the morning or night, or sometimes both--it just depends on what your derm has written). So basically apply the gel to all the areas where you got your pimples and blackheads (if you breakout there)

Yes, it can dry your face out and cause some irritation in the beginning (you'll notice when you wake up) so I would only start out applying a thin layer of this stuff if I were you, because you don't know how you'll react yet. If you're really scared, you can always apply a bit of moisturizer before the gel, but keep in mind, this will dilute the effectiveness of the gel. Redness and peeling is common in the beginning with products like this, but call your derm if you experience any kind of "extreme" reaction (like a bright red sunburn, or burns).
