John W - Depending on your insurance company, maintenance drugs will likely be by mail on a 3 month basis. The syringes would show up at your doorstep wrapped in icepacks against the heat. The Pharmacies can only do 30 day prescriptions and would keep the insulin in their refrigerator for you and the only difference would be which pharmacy is the most convenient to you.
