I have had braces for 4 years and my orthodontist just placed my finishing wires. He corrected my mid line as much as possible, he said my teeth were too bad to move all the way to the correct position. Just yesterday I went for the finishing wires and he placed a heavier power chain on the top. I've noticed that since getting it on, one of my top teeth bites down directly on a tooth on the bottom, not overlapping it at all. Should I call the office and go back right away because of this, or see if the wire will settle my teeth differently if I wait longer? I don't want to end up with one tooth that has an under bite, but the office is also far away from my home so I don't want to drive there if it's not necessary. Is this a problem because of the mid line not being corrected fully, or is this a different issue?
onedog4ya - I wouldn't..they know what they are doing and they did that to me and I am now a month from getting mine off :)
ReplyDeleteCassidy - You should call and explain....and if they wanna see it or want u to come in then i would but U should definintley call!!! Cause it could get worse
ReplyDeleteTBone7754 - This might or might not help but just call and ask to speak to him/her and tell your problem and maybe save your self the time of driving all the way there
ReplyDeleteBracey Girl - If I were you I would call (like NOW) at the very least and describe the issue to your orthodontist, it mat turn out that there is no problem and that was supposed to happen but you can never be to safe when it comes to that kind of thing especially when you are so close to the end of your treatment. You wouldn't want a problem to come up now, when you're in the home stretch, and have to keep them on longer. if there is something wrong they will be able to fix it so don't freak out. (most likely) It could be a completely different issue.
ReplyDeleteGood luck and call your Ortho. (:
tooth975 - NO, let the wire do its work first and when you go see him again and the problem is still uncorrected, then ask him about it.
