Tiffany - I had braces for 2years and each and every time I had them tighten it always hurt. I don't know of anything you can do to reduce the pain. You may just have to tough it out for a few days.
Dj Cookie - Yes its very normal. The pain duration depends on your root length. The shorter the roots the longer the pain lasts. Mild Painkillers is what you need.
Erich - Yeah they do tend to make your mouth ache for quite a while. Especially if you have to wear the rubber bands that freaking hold your jaw shut. The best I could come up with was putting chloraseptic on a cotton ball and swabbing my gums. There is a numbing gel you can get too, I learned after the fact, at pharmacies.
Pedro Ramirez - Of course they hurt. Your teeth are getting used to the position the braces are forcing them in. I recommend painkillers, since there's not much you can do otherwise. Just wait a few days and it should go by itself, don't eat anything that makes the pain worse and have patience
Lavinia - PAINKILLERS WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
ReplyDeleteEgbert - It's normal for them to hurt. Take some pain killers and eat soft foods.
ReplyDeleteAllison - Yes it is very normal. And take Advil.
