  2. Egbert - It's normal for them to hurt. Take some pain killers and eat soft foods.

  4. Tiffany - I had braces for 2years and each and every time I had them tighten it always hurt. I don't know of anything you can do to reduce the pain. You may just have to tough it out for a few days.

The best I could come up with was putting chloraseptic on a cotton ball and swabbing my gums. There is a numbing gel you can get too, I learned after the fact, at pharmacies.

  7. Helga - They hurt a bit and the pain will disappear the next 3 days..
But If they hurt a lot you should go to the dentist.

  8. Pedro Ramirez - Of course they hurt. Your teeth are getting used to the position the braces are forcing them in.
I recommend painkillers, since there's not much you can do otherwise.
Just wait a few days and it should go by itself, don't eat anything that makes the pain worse and have patience

    Good luck!
