How does the orthodontist decide when he takes braces off? like which teeth need to be aligned? does each individual tooth on the upper jaw need to be exactly in line with the tooth below? or does it work differently to that?Thanks!

Katey - This is a question for your orthodontist. Only he will know for sure. Hopefully it will be soon. Braces hurt like a (female dog).
ReplyDeleteAnne - you never know, your teeth move at different times.... my ortho said i would have my braces off at the end of at the end of 6th grade or at the beginig of 7th.... now i am a freshman and still dont have them off
ReplyDeleteSara - Well, the orthodontist decides to take your braces off when all the gaps are gone, the teeth are lined up correctly and there is no overbite. It is nice to have all the teeth aligned because everyone wants a nice smile! okay, the upper teeth are naturally wider than the lower teeth so yes they will be lined correctly but the upper teeth are bigger so they wont look like it. hope i helped!
