Should My Oral Surgeon Have Given Me Antibiotics, 9 Teeth Pulled.?
All I got was ibuprofen and percocet. I got some rotten teeth pulled and wisdom. Should I be on antibiotics I got them pulled friday im in lots of pain.
JBere - Antibiotics don't stop pain. Antibiotics kill bacterial infection. If you don't have a bacterial infection, giving you antibiotics would wreck your digestive system (by killing helpful bacteria) for no good reason. Worse, improper use of antibiotics tends to lead to new strains of disease that are resistant to antibiotics.
Your oral surgeon should not have given you antibiotics. If he had, he would have deserved to have his license revoked.
