Heart Attack Possible?

396545385 i am a 15 year old girl, about 14 pounds over weight, and at rest my heart rate is 60 times per 50 seconds. I am having strong allergy attacks to pollen right now, as always (ear pain, running nose, cough, sneezing, head ache sinuses, that fun stuff) but this year im noticing that i have slight shortness of breath, and very faint pressure on my top chest for about a week now. i can inhale and take a deep breath fine. I have also been breathing through my mouth alot because my nose is clogged up.
is this just from the allergies? and i having a heart attack? please help. thank you

  1. Diane A - Doubtful. More than likely you have some congestion, and some inflammation.

  2. Serene E - It's impossible to have a heart attack at your age. Plus, a heart attack doesn't last a week!! Could be something else heart related, could be something cold related or something else.
My dad went to the ER with chest pain - it was acid reflux.

99% sure it's just cold related. If it was something with your heart and it's been like this a week, you'd be dead by now.

  3. David - Calm down itll be ok :) yes it is possible for teens to have heart attacks BUT not in your case. Heart attack Doesnt have to many symptoms, but the one it does have are: pain in the chest strangly not in the left side but most people report it in the right or center, pain in the arms usally left and pain in the jaw and heart attack pains arent sharp and sudden most usally build up to a heart attack if the pain last more then 30mins its pretty much not i repeat NOT your heart hope you feel better :)
