  1. Sean N - Getting them off does not hurt at all. They use a tool that snaps each of the brackets off with ease. Then they use a little spinning tool to grind the remaining glue and then another to polish. The pieces around your back molars just lift right up with a little pull.
Yes you can brush your teeth and use your white strips among many other things like chewing gum.

  2. Yup, me again - This is just my personal experience, but when i got in a sports injury i need to have braces on my top row of teeth and it was done be my dentist not by a orthodontist, and from what I can remember it didn't hurt at all. All they did for me was take like wire cutters (that's probably not exactly what they were its just all i can compare it too) to cut the wire then they used a solution to make the glue not stick to my teeth anymore. When all of this was going on the did drug me up so all i really felt was pressure not pain. This took about 15min.

    Hope This Helped
    and Good Luck :]

  3. Shaun - Not at all does it hurt. No cotton or long process. They use some clipper tool to remove the brace in like 1-2 min and then around 5 min to take off the glue with a spiny tool
