My Friend Of 62 Has Been Diagnosed With Grade 4 Lung Cancer What Is The Life Expectancy?

396545116 He has had 6 treatments of chemo and is waiting to see his encologist next week

  3. Angel - I'm not sure but I'm so sorry that you and your friend are going through this. I lost my great Aunt to lung cancer. She had cancer a month after being diagnosed she passed away and this happened in 09.

  4. vbrown3844 - I am so sorry to hear that but with such a high grade of cancer it can vary from 1 month to 6 months or sometimes longer

  5. Smiley Sue - I don't know why that other dude laughed, unless this post is a joke or trolling.

    There is no magic answer to your question, b/c it depends on a lot of things, like how effective the chemo is, other health issues, etc. and if they decide to remove pieces of his lungs.

    But Stage 4 is bad. There is no Stage 5 in cancer....

  7. well wisher - He has advanced disease and only palliative treatment possible.
    Survival is generally few months (Up to 6-8 months).
    But in individual case it may vary.
