im 13 and im going on a cruise in april, i have a lot of extra weight and i never thought i'd resort to yahoo answers, im too embarrassed to ask my mum and i need help! should i take diet pills? slimfast? eat differently? help!<3
Clay - Eat the same food , less amounts like half the usuall plate , cut everything down in half , and pineapple and walking are very good for you ^_^ , plus stay away from food with a lot of fats , and have the strong will to lose those extra pounds , and if you can go to gym would be great . Rika Ando - Diet and exercise. Eat less meat, and more fish, avoid red meats. Eat mostly vegetables and fruits, lots of it, make that the majority of your meals. No juices or sodas, only water and herbal tea (and not that pre-made sugary sweet ice tea like Arizona). Instead of eating 3 big meals a day. Try balancing eating like six very small meals a day (like the size of a snack or one or one serving). Eat smaller portions than usual. You can try things like Special K, Slimfast, and Yoplait light for some of your snacks. Exercise for 2 hours every day, whether it be jogging, swimming, sit ups, push ups, pull ups, anything that has a lot of cardio and energy. Before and after exercising make sure to get good stretches for 15 minutes.
Saif - 1st off, what the other guys say! Eat balance and workout regular. Do not diet as you may hurt your height increase at this age.
No diet pills either, they are dangerous for liver or other organs.
If you dont feel strong and active, and are not in a good mood (at your age you should be) maybe get your thyroid hormones level cheked. Hypothyroidism can cause weight gain and mood/behaviour problems.
Renee Petrova - Exercise at least an hour a day, this could be done by walking, jogging, swimming etc , try playing more outdoor games with your friends and family such as playing soccer at the park or bike riding and eat healthily which means drink lots of water, drink no soft drinks unless your having a BBQ or something, don't snack too much if you do stick to fruits and try to eat healthy foods such as vegtables, stir fries, skinless chicken, tuna... try to stick to healthy meals, you can search the net for healthy recipes too if you like. There is no need to obsess over your weight, your still young, just remember straving yourself gets you no where if you do that you gain double the weight when you start eating normally again, and there is no harm in feeling fit and healthy as well as feeling good about yourself! also do not take diet pills or do slimfast you are too young and there is really no need for it!
