Two from the roof of my gums (crowding) and one from the bottom of my mouth from crowding too
I had laughing gas and three injections around each tooth
They're we're extracted at around 12:45/50 and since then I've been hitting in these gauze thingies I was given (it's like cotton kind of stuff) anyway I've used then all up since and now I'm butting on kitchen paper
Blood is still on the tissues and my teeth hurt at the bottom :( they were in difficult places to extract so there was a lot of pulling involved
Anyway my mouth hurts like hell I'm just letting these tissues soak up my saliva and blood seeing as I can't swallow or spit (I shouldn't spit but it's not a n option)
How long till the numbing goes? And pain?? How long until I can go out and eat and live normally again? I'm going on holiday on the 3rd Jan and I don't want to have to eat soups and travel in pain! :(
I'm 15 btw thanks a lot I'm in a lot of pain sooo much!!!
It's like when you drink a cold drink and you breath in cold air after kind of pain but it's non stop thanks xxxx
What?! No I doubt I have a dry socket
It's stopped bleeding but obviously if I touch the gap some blood will get on me as it is healing and a blood clot is need for that and a mouth is wet it doesn't scab so no I don't think it's a dry socket I had three massive teeth ripped out of me... Obviously I'm gonna get pain
liltrick32 - go back to your dentist you may have gotten dry socket. and if the bleeding persists then you can dip a tea bag and warm water for 5 min and then bite on it that should stop any bleeding
ReplyDeleteMarisa - go the dentist to get checked out
ReplyDeleteDumdedum - It is not unusual to get some ooze for quiet a while and all the while you are using the gauze as a foreign body in the area it will continue. Kitchen paper sticks and when you pull is off it caused trauma to the area and is counter productive.
ReplyDeleteYou do need to leave it all alone for a while, take some over the counter painkillers and go to bed and sleep. Sleep is brilliant for helping to ease the overall trauma of the entire event,
Tomorrow will be better, believe me.
The only way it would be considered a dental emergency is if it is continually leaking fresh blood and at the moment the tissue you are using is counter productive. Just leave it alone, let it start the healing process and it cannot do that when you are poking things at it.
Dry socket is not an issue on the first day!
