Does Anyone Know What I'm Allergic Too?
When I went to the hairdressers the hair dye made my head itch and my head was really sore for a while. I didn't think much of it but today I did some washing up and the washing up liquid made my hands go really red and itchy. Does anyone know what could be causing the reaction? Should I go to my doctor?

Queen of the Dust Mites - There are so many chemicals in hair dye it could be any of them. The culprit I would look for first is formaldehyde or quarternium-13 (which is a formaldehyde releaser)
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, many of the personal care products use formaldehyde as a preservative. Or, paraben or methlyparaben. You can ask the hairdresser to look at the ingredients and see if they are present.
If so, next time have them use a different product.
In the mean time, you might want to wash your care with Free & Clear shampoo to get any residue out.
