Stress is part of the fight or flight reflex so if you exercise, you should be able to reduce your subconscious stress level tremendously, most of stress is really unseen, you're not even aware of it, what you're conscious of is just the tip of the iceberg, exercise will reduce the stress that you're not aware of and make dealing with the stress that you are aware of easier.
