Yellow Hole In Side Of Tooth?

396545381 I have a yellow hole On the side of one of my back molars. I think it might have been caused by a chip. There is no pain. Could it be anything to worry about? (I hope it is nothing I hate the dentist)

  1. Frog - Yellowing circular hole with a darker spot at the centre may be a cavity,, Be careful when brushing not to remove weak enamel. Seek doctirs advice to avois surgery quick!.

Jagged edges are a sign if a chip. Severe chips may need capping, where tooth material is attached to broken portion.

  2. Liza Koehler - hole could be because of tooth decay. yellowness of hole can be because of some food accumulates there. you have to get the cavity restored. composite material can be used for restoration which is tooth colored, esthetic material available. initially in case of cavity, there is sensitivity to cold food stuffs present and after some time, sensitivity to hot foods and pain is present. for more info on composite material, you can refer to the following article...http://www.identalhub.com/article_when-is-composite-filling-done-in-a-tooth-283.aspx
