I did research for her today and I read that it might be that it happened when her teeth were growing and she was using antibiotics, and another website said it might be because of a lack of vitamins, and it reversible. I just wanted your opinion on the subject. She is afraid that it is a cavity because she has never had one before. I would like to get back with her with good news, so I'm hoping for her sake it's not a cavity!
Voltron - brown spots can be several things, it can be the start of a cavity, it can be staining present since the tooth came in like antibiotics as you mentioned, it can be staing from cigarettes. But if they were there as her teeth were growing in then odds are its developmental stain and not a cavity. A dentist need to look at it to tell you for sure.
