my pulse is 100 resting and sometimes beats faster I'm scared I do have anxiety but I don't know if it's the cause of it I also might have strep thoart and I have a fever of 100 please help I'm scared :(
Angie Hawk - A healthy adult heart normally beats 60 to 100 times a minute when a person is at rest. Anything regularly over 100 is considered to be Tachycardia. I was diagnosed with this awhile back. It can be benign or a form that can cause problems but there are treatments for it so don't worry.
A fever will definitely cause an elevated heart rate! I had a fever with mono that lasted two weeks. My heard rate got up to 144 at one point due to fever and anxiety. The doctor confirmed to me that fever will cause your heart to pump faster. So.. just try not to worry (easier said than done, I know) and try to control the fever and everything will be fine.
Tomas - you do have an abnormally high resting pace, it might be due to a lot of things but if your worried it's always a good idea to visit a doctor.
ReplyDeletelil_missamber - Your RHR is pretty high. You might want to go see a doctor to see what's going on.
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
