I've never gotten a cold sore before so I don't know whether it is or not. It's right above my lip and did tingle, but now it hurts. I haven't tried popping it because the slightest bit or pressure is unbearable. I got it about 3 days ago. I got some cold sore ointment and now it's turning into a white head with a red dot in the middle. Everyone is saying it's a pimple but I have NO idea. Ernie - I have had cold sores since I was BORN. That sounds like a cold sore to me!! It will go away soon, be patient!
