I Found Out My Grandma Has Cancer But My Mom Hasnt Told Me Yet?

396545116 I accidently found out my grandma (i call her nanny) has cancer. My mom was at work and like a few days earlier my mom got a call from her sister and my mom was crying really hard and when we asked what was wrong she said her uncle had a rare disease (which probably wasnt true, because it was probably about Nanny) so i suspected something was wrong. Well my mom left her facebook messages up so i looked at one and she said " Yeah my mom has cancer". I asked my mom today if there was anything wrong with Nanny, and she said "No of course not". Ive asked her like 3 times and she always denies it. How can i get her to tell me the truth? I already know its true.

  1. Sandy K - Tell her the truth that you read it on her face book. what is the big deal that she can't tell you?

  2. Keep It Clean - You either confess to reading her facebook messages and confront her about the cancer or you wait and let her tell you herself. How badly and how soon do you want to know the truth? Good luck and I am so sorry about the bad news.

  3. ChemoAngel - Show her the face book page, then she can't deny it. Tell her she left her face book page open, and the only mother you know she has is your Nanny.

  4. MrsM - I'm sorry you're going through this. With all due respect to your mom, I think it was very rude and almost immature to put it on facebook before telling the family. I'm sure she is very sad and not thinking straight, and is trying to avoid telling you to prevent you from being upset and sad, but I would straight up tell her that you know.

You don't need to tell her you saw the page, for all we know maybe she left it up on purpose so you would see it. Just tell her, "Mom, I know about nanny. I know it's hard to talk about but I care about her and want to know what is going on."

Best of luck and God bless.
