I know of people who have had them for years. Then last Thursday I lost a dear friend who had his since spring. The last image I have of him is his smiling and waving goodbye from his car...a few hours later he is gone forever.
Can they just stop working out of the blue?????

ReplyDeleteThere are times when people can live a very long life. I have a friend who also has one but his has been replaced 3 times so far. This happened in less than a years time. The way I understand it is that some peoples heart doesn't adjust to it & they have to either change the settings or replace it. In my friends case, his is monitored by the Doctors office. If something goes wrong, they can make changes right from the office. If that doesn't help, a new one is put in. I believe they can just stop working for some reason. Hope this helps.
