I'm definitely not emo or anything, I'm usually quite happy but ive been craving a tattoo. And I was thinking about cutting my design and filling the cuts with ink. ALL I WANNA KNOW IS IF IT WILL STAY. should I cover it up?
steve D - Don't do it. Even if you don't mess up and get an infection or blood poisoning, it will look absolutely terrible. You cant just cut it and ink it, that's a ridiculous idea. If you really want a tattoo, go get a tattoo, done properly by a reputable tattooist. Otherwise, years from now you will look at the abortion of a tattoo on your body and just think "holy shit wtf was i thinking ffs!! Its ab-so-lute f**king awful!!!"
When you have a tattoo, the body starts pushing the ink out because its a foreign body, thats why it bubbles up, scabs, etc, and why they initially lose colour, especially if you scratch them. You will end up with patchy bits of ink, even if you managed a straight line, it wont stay straight. You may very well get blood poisoning though, because that ink will get in your bloodstream and be carried around. Also, it wont be sterile, all tattoo parlours have to have clinically clean eqpt.
Sorry to be negative about your idea but if i can comment and save someone from having an awful monstrosity etched in their skin then so be it. Go get a tattoo from a proper place if you really want one. I have some tattoos but i have known people that had some terrible DIY ones, just embarrasments. I am also an ex cutter, so i know what its like to have marks on my body that were done impulsively, although i never felt a need to dump ink inside the cuts.
Pat - It might stay, if the ink doesn't get out first (since it is an open cut). Not to mention you will probably get an infection.
ReplyDeleteI'd just go get a real tattoo.
