im a teen and had too have alot of dental work done i had it done under iv sedation and versed they also used laughing gas i was also strapped down during the dental procedure they said it was for my safety was this right....?edit there also using a mouth prop and there also making me bring a extra pair of clothes just in case but why...?
they also required me to wear a diaper...?

edit they did it Little at a time it took three vists and yes i did wear a diaper and a pair of pajmijas that was the best choice do you think the denist made the right choice....?
fruitloop247 - yes, so if you started flopping around after being woke up you won't hurt yourself or others
ReplyDeleteCDA1 - You never know how people are going to act when they go under. To keep you safe and everyone else, you have to be secured. What if you had some weird dream while under and you tried acting it out and your arms came up to where the dentist is drilling and you hit it and it goes through your cheek. I have seen people wet themselves and throw up, so they were nice to remind you to bring extra clothes. You would not want to walk back through the waiting room full of people with a big wet spot ...lol....The mouth prop is necessary because you cannot keep your mouth open for them when you are sleeping silly...lol.....they kinda need it open :) Hopefully you don't need ALL THAT now right? You are a model dental patient now, right? Sounds like they took good care of you and did all the right things. Remember to FLOSS !!!
