Sinus Pain After Upper Wisdom Tooth Removal?

396545381 I had to have my upper wisdom tooth extracted because the gum underneath got infected a few times and I decided it was time. The extraction was Thursday and it is now Saturday.

The tooth root was in my sinus cavity. The doctor stitched the sinus opening. Now I have pain and pressure in my sinuses like when you have a bad cold. I am tasting a salty taste from the opening at the extraction area.

Are these occurrences normal? I am on antibiotics.

  1. Voltron - This can happen with extraction of the upper teeth and its not uncommon, and your doctor has done everything right. This is a case where you have to let it run its course, your doctor has done what is required in such a case. Main thing is try not to blow you nose. Give it time and it will go away and go to your follow ups..
