For some reason I think I must be allergic to something either in the water or the cleaning chemicals they use at my work place. This only happens at work; when I wash my hands or clean the dishes I break out in a rash up my lower arms. I've also been shown that when you stick a paper towel up any of the faucets there and pull it back out it's got black residue all over it.. and so have been told not to drink their tap water. Am I allergic to something in their tap water, and what could that be??
kornerzooz - You could be reacting to the dish detergent, degreaser, if they use one, the counter cleanser, any furniture spray/polish. Hand sanitizer, in other words anything. It is also possible that the detergents remove all of the oils from your skin making it super dry and irritated. If the health dept. hears about the faucets they will have to be sanitized.
ReplyDeleteChild 6XX - I was just about to ask this question when I came across yours. I have this same problem when I do dishes at work. (I work at subway if that helps). It is such a nusiance.
