Is it okay if I use colgate with mint breath strip for brace? it say it have whitening in it but my orthodontist told me not to worry about any toothpaste as long you take care of your brace. They will take care of my teeth later once it is off. I notice there are many fluoride toothpaste that have whitening in it. I am not trying to white my teeth with brace. Any fluoride toothpaste is okay? My orthodontist told me to use any fluoride toothpaste and doesn't matter if it has whitening in it or not because they will fix it later.Monday, September 26, 2011

Hawkeyesrule - pretty much all toothpastes are the same as long as they have fluoride in them they're good. "Whitening" toothpastes don't have a high enough concentration of peroxide to do anything more than regular toothpastes do. it's a marketing ploy.
