  1. The Wistle blower - as a fitness freak i wud say definatly can be helped, disorder?! in VERY RARE cases through hormone/ glandular problems. We are the fattest country in the world and getting worse. I have one thing to add, putting diet of excercise aside. When you wash-up do you use hot or cold water? when u answer this as hot, ask yrself why. 2 ppl eat a fatty meal, one drinks tea, the other drinks a cold glass of water, the one drinking water will have their fatty foods solidify in there bodies including the heart, the one drinking tea help breakdown the fat allowing it to pass at a bigger percentage. Ill be glad to tell anyone fat or skinny to get off there backsides and burn off a few pounds or build some muscle

  2. Cathead - Yes, Body Dysmorphic Disorder is a disorder in which you constantly perceive problems with your physical appearance. Whether it be, you think you're ugly, you think your arms are too long, or you think you're fat.

Or course, just because you think you're fat, doesn't mean you have BDD. You could just have low confidence and self esteem.

Are you actually overweight or do you just think you are? Many people with BDD can't tell the difference. If you do have BDD, you will think you are overweight even if you aren't. Maybe go to your doctor and tell them about this problem. Then they can tell you if you would benefit from losing weight, or if you could possibly have a disorder.
