Doe's Marriage Cause Weight Gain?

396545382 I've been very committed to staying fit and healthy. I always want to keep working out and eating healthy. I hear that Marriage causes weight gain. Is it true? I hope not. I really want to keep this up. Or does it just matter how the Man and the Wife are?

Yes because some people get comfortable. You're married & no longer have to impress anyone. (I.M.H.O.)
Yes because there are more things that will occupy your time (like your marriage).
Yes because your eating habits may change (more food being made or more takeout etc.)
Children & stress (be it work, financial, relationship issues) add to this as well.

If your wife is into staying fit and healthy as you are I don't see it being a problem. You could spend quality time working out together (taking a group exercise class together or running together etc.) or cooking healthy together.

But marriage in itself is not going to make you gain weight...its just that there are other factors coming into play.
