Do I Have The Signs Of A Heart Attack?

396545385 I have been experiencing a sharp pain (mostly on my left side but also on the right) of my upper chest. These pains are sharp and last about a minute, but they are very frequent and happen 15-20 times a day.I was told by my doctor it is precordial cache syndrome (PCS). and I was told it would go away in time and it was nothing to worry about. After the visit I started to experience dull pains in my neck, left arm, left knee, stomach, back, and sides. I looked up the signs of a heart attack and I match a lot but i'm not sure if it is signs of a heart attak or not. Please respond!!!

  1. Haje - Your symptoms are definitively not of a heart attack, sharp pains never are, but more of anxiety or panic attacks. You need to look what the underlying emitional problem is, doi something about it, than you'll slowly be normal again.

  2. gldjns - I've never heard of PCS, but your doctor should know of these other symptoms you're having, and perhaps refer you to a heart specialist for further testing if he feels it's necessary. Don't try to diagnose your own condition, as many people have a tendency to do. It just causes a lot of unnecessary worry. Leave the diagnoses to the professionals. They are much more qualified than the average layman.
