Can Being A Diabetic Stop Your Period?

  3. syl c. - Hormonal disorders such as polycystic ovary syndrome or PCOS can cause amenorrhea (no menstrual period). PCOS is usually a complication of diabetes but is usually not detected until insulin resistance has affected the ovaries.

    Do you have a lot of stress or anxiety in your life? If you're under stress or experience anxiety often, you may also experience late periods.

    Your doctor can obtain a blood test from you in order to diagnose PCOS. You should see your doctor in order to prevent any issues stemming from the fact that your periods have stopped suddenly and you are a diabetic.
