I'm really at my wits end and my breaking point. Two days ago, I rushed to the hospital with a blood pressure of 174/125 and a pulse of 58. I was getting headaches and my chest was hurting. I have a history of anxiety and this isn't the first time I've rushed to the hospital. Only this IS the first time when my blood pressure was sky high. I had an EKG, all sorts of blood work and an x-ray done. Everything came back fine. They wanted me to check in with my doctor for a stress test, etc. I'm really really scared. What would cause this? Is there something really wrong with my heart? I'm only 22 years old and I seem to suffer on a daily basis with fear, anxiety and then depression because of the crap that goes on with my body. What can I do to bring ease? I really need to know if it's something wrong. I can't believe I'd have all these physical pains and then it turns out to be nothing. Please
help. I'm really at my break. I don't know how much more I can take. I wish they'd just sedate me and let me sleep.
No One - Sounds exactly like my situation with anxiety. To finally discover if it was physical or mental causing my physical symptoms my psychiatrist prescribed me a rather large dose of Xanax then checked my blood pressure, ect. Turned out it was all mental and after the Xanax all my tests were perfectly fine. However, I'm not diagnosing you and you should continue to find the root of the problem.
ReplyDeleteJim 06460389 - If at 22 you have never had any Physical medical issue..Ie: congenital heart defect , murmur or worse, No "Absurd" drug abuse etc etc Then its 99.8% anxiety your statement about sedation is pretty much an indication to me .. your 22 years of age, you really need to get your head out of your posterior, MOVE if you live in NYC get the hell away if you live in Idaho, move somewhere else stop whining about all the drama... seriously...
ReplyDeleteaziz - the problem seems to be upper story rather than heart. Kindly have an appointment with your psychiatrist and discuss about your episodes of panic attacks.
