If You Could Not Afford To Go To The Dentist, Whats The Best Way To Take Good Care Of Your Teeth?

396545381 i go to the dentist, ive always just been curious on this.

like if i leave school and cant afford much of anything, how could i take of my teeth? not going to the dentist seems so easy to do considering its not as nessessary like a doctor is.

  1. David - floss and brush daily. use a small rotary head battery powered tooth brush. much more effective than a manual brush. do not chew ice! it creates micro fractures in the teeth. my orthodontist showed me photographs. it is actually necessary as a doctor. lots of physical problems show up in tooth examinations. drink lots of soda? stop! eats the enamel off of the teeth.

  2. Em - To be honest, going to the dentist for regular cleanings isn't important in my opinion. They have fancy tools and stuff but cleaning your teeth once a month isn't going to prevent cavities. What's important about going to the dentist is having them check for proper hygiene, cavities, and any other issues you might be having.

So basically, you would take care of your teeth exactly like everyone says: brush 2 or 3 times a day, and floss, and probably use mouthwash to be extra careful that you don't get any cavities (since they would go unnoticed for a while).
