You can talk to old people by volunteering at retirement homes people there always need company.

All you need to do is write a letter to your patient once a week, and send little surprises every once in awhile. While it is mostly a one way conversation on your part, it helps them to get their mind off of their cancer....they will check in once a month, and your assignment will last a few months. Each time you can be reassigned to a new patient. Give it a try....You can write to a man or a woman, or if you prefer a child.
