My friend had her wisdom tooth out and there fore couldnt eat on the right side of her mouth for a week.
After the week she said she could feel that her teeth had grown when she clenched them because she hadnt used them to eat and therefore she hadnt "filed them down"!
I think this is a load of rubbish! Her argument is that animals like rabbits have to have their teeth filed at the vets so surely humans do too.
My argument is that human teeth stop growing when you get your adult teeth. Otherwise why dont your teeth grow back if you break one, or why dont anorexic people have massive teeth!!!
Please settle this for us. Do human teeth grow if you stop eating and "filing them down"?!
Thanks
Nichkun - This is rubbish.
ReplyDeleteCornelius Fudge - No
ReplyDeleteIllusionist (illusionist) - Only rodents/vermin teeth continue to grow. The only thing that human teeth can do is shed once for a newer, bigger set to fit our mouth, and regrow a certain amount of enamel. It might just feel odd to her because of not using it for so long, or she is still swollen on that side, so it feel like it is closing sooner.

ReplyDelete? - in human milky teeth only fall and after that new teeth comes and if this broke than no new teeth comes.....therefore no teeth comes if u stop eating and filing them down....
ReplyDeletearian - I guess it's clear that the answer is no .... And about that feeling , I guess it's normal because if you don't use side of your mouth you start to feel some thing is wrong when you use it again
ReplyDeletesoulman - Your firend is wrong.
ReplyDeleteThe reason your firend's teeth felt like thay had grown was because she changed her bite by only chewing on the left side.
