Jared - No, the heart isn't like our liver.. It has specific chambers which all have specific purposes that ALL need to remain to function.
While not as complicated, it would be similar to cutting half your brain out and expecting to live like you do now,.. You need your own, and all of it.
N - There are much easier ways to control an irregular heartbeat. Removing half the heart would be murder, you cannot live with half a heart.
