Why Don't My Teeth Get Whiter ?

396545381 I'm only 15 , but for years I've been trying to figure out why my teeth don't get whiter . I don't have any medical condition that prevents this (as far as I know) , and I've even gotten different toothpastes and toothbrushes recommended from my ortho . My teeth are white mostly , but I don't like how there is a slight yellow tint . I brush my teeth 3-4 times a day with an automatic toothbrush using Crest: Baking Soda Whitening (with tartar protection) for a while ( after also trying several other toothpastes) and my teeth don't seem to be getting any whiter . Please help! D:

    De Poo - Get some dental trays made (molds of your teeth) and bleech them for 2 hours a day. This will run approx 100 bucks. Or you can get those kits in stores that you see on comercials for instant white teeth!

    JamieT - You could be stripping all the enamel off your teeth with all that brushing especially with an electric brush and Baking Soda.

    I wouldn't advise whitening / bleaching either as it can do the same thing

    The best advice I can give you is keep an eye on what you put in your mouth i.e tea, coffee, ribena, wine (doubtful at 15 but who knows) as many foods can stain your teeth and use a gentle whitening toothpaste (don't scrub your teeth to hard)

    reliant - As we get older, our teeth naturally get yellow. If you're using a teeth whitener be sure to follow instructions to the tee.

    Best Electric toothbrush reviews - Get a really good electric toothbrush. Think about it, if you're using a manual toothbrush, how many strokes can you make in a minute? I would say around 200-300. With an electric toothbrush, they make between 30,000 - 40,000 brush strokes in a minute. Think about that for a second.

    A great electric toothbrush with a whitening toothpaste, you'll have whiter teeth in no time.
