Okay so Tuesday I was caught off guard by one of the personal trainers at the gym and she TOTALLY WORKED MY ARS OFF!! My legs have been killing me. I’m a regular at the gym but I haven’t felt sore like this in a loooong time. How do I shake off the soreness?? I’m scared to go back to the gym because my legs are so sore that even just going down the stairs at my job is murder! I am hoping to get back into the gym tomorrow. I didn’t go yesterday or today due to the soreness.
eff juu - drink lots of water and rest
ReplyDeletewhitney - The best thing to do is stretch it out. Don't "baby" it. Just remember, it has to break down to build up. Whatever you did, did you good! Keep up the good work :)
ReplyDeleteNathan Brown - Did you stretch? Stretching is rlly important. Also ur trainer might hav worked u too hard. There is rlly not much u can do with the soreness. Ur body just does tht because u worked too hard. Good thing u took off. Take it easy from now on. But not too easy! Do a warmup in the beginning nd a cool down and stretch
ReplyDeleteDavid Cole - Just drink milk to make your bones healthy!! And alot of water. Rest to, what your feeling is completley normal
ReplyDeleteEddySays - Work through the soreness whether that involves cardio work or resistance training (lifting).
ReplyDeleteThe important thing is to stretch and or work through the full range of the exercise to work all of the muscle tissue. The soreness will take a few days to work through. Cut your cardio time or reduce the weight if you are lifting but maximize range.
The important thing here is to keep up the harder sessions so you don't get sore again the next time your trainer corners you and puts you through your paces again.
Luck.
