  1. xbrianna00x - You should talk to your doctor or pharmacist who filled it about side effects. You are also usually given a sheet of information about the drug, which includes side effects. Call back the pharmacy and ask the questions you should have asked when you got it (if you have it already).

  2. syl c. - Your current control is quite good. Side effects are feeling very weak, tired, or uncomfortable; unusual muscle pain; unusual sleepiness; unexplained rapid breathing; unusual or unexpected stomach problems (such as nausea or vomiting); low body temperature; feeling dizzy or lightheaded; or suddenly having a slow or uneven heartbeat.

Janumet can cause a serious allergic reaction, including rash, hives, and swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, which may cause difficulty breathing or swallowing. If you have an allergic reaction, stop taking Janumet and call your doctor right away.

It is usually used in combination with metformin(there is actually a combo pill called Janumet) or other oral medications. Other than Januvia, there are many other oral medications that can be added to Metformin(too many to name here actually). You are already below 7%, which is the general target, so there is no huge pressing need to tighten your glucose.

Oral glucose tolerance test control at this time, but if you can get closer to an A1C of 6.5%, that would be even better for your health. Be sure to look out for any hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) that may occur as you add medications if your blood glucose levels continue to drop then notify your doctor something you are doing dietary, other meds you are taking could be causing your numbers to lower quickly. Definitely keep up if you have made dietary and exercise as part of your lifestyle changes.

    Hope this helps.
