I have been going #2 and urinating more frequently. I've been so muchmore tired and fatigued than usual (3kids), and have been having a hard time consentrating. I keep breaking out, and especially on my arm I noticed they won't heal up as fast, and keep getting
infected. I have been having cold sweats, sweating a lot more in general, always thirsty or feeling like my mouth is dryer than usual. Feel like I m in a fog. I thought I was pregnant, but 4 pregnancy tests in a span of 3 weeks says no. Have been feeling nauseated here and there, headaches too. Is this sounding like diabetes, or something else? I am overweight too, by about 100 lbs.
Jonathan T - Diabetes can definitely be brought upon by being overweight. I would suggest losing weight, but first consult your primary care physician
ReplyDeleteRN851 - There are a number of problems that could be causing your symptoms. Diabetes, thyroid problems or liver problems all come to mind. A good basic physical exam is in order....so is slow, controlled weight loss. I suggest you check in with your doctor who will want to run some blood tests. He or she can also guide you in your weight loss--GOOD LUCK !!
ReplyDeletesyl c. - You seem to be presenting with symptoms of hyperglycemia (high blood sugar). Some of the most common signs that cause a lot of concern among people in the early stages of glucose instability include dry mouth; frequent night urination. Should these symptoms be used to determine whether one if diabetic or not? For starters, when you notice the urge to urinate frequently, you first instinct should not be panicking.
ReplyDeleteWhile this is the case, you should note that frequent night time urination can also be used as a sign of diabetes. This is because with diabetes, you get the urge to drink lots due to increased thirst and this leads to frequent urination.
Dry mouth is also known as another major symptom for diabetes and while it could also be used to indicate another type of sickness, it is more accurate.
It is for all these reasons and due to the fact that dry mouth as well as frequent urination can not be used as a clear indication of diabetes that it is important to consult with your doctor before drawing any conclusions. This is important and it ensures that you don’t make any assumptions that could only serve to complicate the condition. Your skin breaking out is of concern too not healing and reinfection as this is usually the first indicator of glucose instability.
Again, see your doctor soon and get a simple blood glucose test in order to obtain a definitive diagnosis and treatment, if needed. You should not wait as your symptoms warrant immediate medical treatment.
Hope this helps.
VISHWAPREMI - You need a thorough check up.
