I was wonder if you could rub what you think you're allergic to on your skin and see if you're allergic to it and if it would work as accurate as going to an allergist for a check up? Is the pinching through the skin needed? Let's say if i think i'm allergic to pork, I rub pork on my arm, would it show hives or a rash if i'm allergic to it without needing to pinch through my skin?
wondering*
AlienFromMars - I would not recommend that because, if your turn out to be indeed allergic and lets say have been exposed to the allergen previously, your body would go into an immediate Hypersensitivity reaction A.K.A. Shock!! And depending on the type of hypersensitivity you'd have anywhere between 2 mins to couple hours to get to a hospital. So please don't try it at home.
ReplyDeletecmx15 - i highly suggest you to not do an allergy test at home because you will be sick n have to go to the hospital. why dont you go to an allergist??
ReplyDeleteAlan K - No it won't work that way, you will need to see an allergist to do these tests.
