  2. Dj - Not to be mean but too much fat surrounding the heart will compress it, also could be cholesterol.

Cuz too many of them can cause your heart to race really fast. That'd be one of the more obvious and easily sorted things. Medically it could be loads of things but only your doctor can find out what for you.

When you say "nothing worked to slow it down", what they normally do, if it's caused by a heart problem, is put you to sleep then they stop your heart and restart it again to get it beating at a normal speed. Not sure if they tried that with you?!? If not, they're possibly thinking it isn't your heart that's at fault. What tests did they do? If you had an ECG, an echo and a chest X ray and they all came back normal that's taken as pretty conclusive proof that your heart is healthy. If they weren't normal they'd be sending you to see a cardiologist at one of the Kids' Heart Units somewhere like GOSH (my heart hospital!), the Royal Brompton, Alder Hey, Birmingham Kids Hospital, Bristol Kids Hospital etc.
