  2. clapper - The heart has one job and that is to pump oxygenated blood to the body,or Oxygenation of Tissue. The pulse rate and the blood pressure are products of the heart performing its job. So if you have a well oxygenated body your heart is doing its job.The way to live a happy relaxed and long life is too get rid of your pulse rate monitor and learn the signs and symptoms of good oxygenation and poor oxygenation. Look for these in your self your friends and family and your community.

  3. raymd - R u sure your pulse is 40? how did you count it, manually or with a monitor. 40 is too slow http://friendswithmyheart.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html and I imagine that at this rate, the pulse will be barely palpable using the manual method. If you used a good monitor and you r sure about this then go see a doctor immediately. Pains in your chest, feeling tired, bradycardia of 40 ..... all might be signs that something serious is wrong. But you must understand that it's difficult to make any conclusions from yahoo answers because a doctor will need more information from you and have to examine you to be able to make a diagnosis.

Again, there may really be nothing, mayb you didn't count it well or your monitor is faulty. But if you r still feeling that way and u r sure abt the pulse, go to the doctor if you'v not already gone.

    All the best.

  4. Dylan Pointon ® - ER right now Symptomatic Bradycardia (<60) Is Something Serious Especially with Chest pain

It sounds like Cardiac Tamponade or Pulmonary embolism. Or it could also be something non cardiac.

Please i am not a doctor. This information can not be used to diagnose or treat an illness only a Qualified Physician can.

    Take it easy
