If My Nipple Has Became Inverted, Does That Mean I Have A Breast Cancer?

396545116 I am 16 years old. Somehow my right nipple has became inverted. I usually eat the right food and try to live in a healthy way. So what is wrong with me? I've heard that nipple inversion is known as symptom of breast cancer. Is it true? Am I normal?

Please don't give me answers like 'tell it to your doctor'. Of course, I'm going to do that.

  2. gazeygoo - Inverted nipples are very common. It has probably always been that way but you are just now more aware of it. Relax.

  3. lo_mcg - No it does not.

An inverted nipple can be a POSSIBLE sign of breast cancer when it suddenly changes to become inverted and remains so, IN A WOMAN OLD ENOUGH FOR BREAST CANCER.

At 16 your risk of breast cancer is one in 1.3 million; that's less than 0.0001%, ad less than half your risk of being struck by lightning.

At your age any changes in your breasts are almost certainly normal hormonal development. If you're seeing a doctor, s/he will be able to reassure you, but a chat with your mother or your school nurse should b enough
