i went to a salon and they dyed my hair blonde (as you can see by my profile picture) and yesturday night i purchased a blonde hair dye so i could dye my roots. of course it went horribly wrong and my roots are now orange. so today i went to go buy black hair dye to cover it. thing is i have school tomarrow and i have to go no matter what. i dont want to go looking like an idiot that's why i bought the black hair dye, so i want to dye it today again but other thing is is that im allergic to it, my scalp gets very itchy. would my hair fall off? what would happen if i do do it today?
toodrivetodrunk - i laughed pretty hard at the question.
ReplyDeletedid you magically think you would become immune to your allergy to hair dye?
angel - wow you're really pretty! and i love your picture with your hair like that in your profile pic. well heres the thing, how do you know you are really allergic to it? i mean tons of people itch from hairdye, do you swell up or anything? also black hairdye is the worst to use cause more people are allergic to that one since there is more of the chemical in black hairdye then the rest of them.
ReplyDeletethe chemical i mean is called Paraphenylenediamine and a lot of people are allergic to it. maybe you can just hold off on the black and wait until u have the money to get it hi lightened again. it looks so pretty! good luck in whatever you decide hun, but if u really know you are allergic then i would not reccomend it.
countrymouse29 - allergies are nothing to fool around with-stop now. Did you know there are products out there that are hypo-allergenic-might want to shop around
ReplyDeletethinker - First of all - although not a beautician, you did too many things too close - and probably over-processed your hair. Usually you need to wait a couple of days before adding in another product because they might interact with each other with drastic results - as you now well know. Also, it pays to closely read the labels on products, and with the Internet, do some deep research before you try something new, and even repeat something.
ReplyDeleteIt is possible for the chemicals in the dyes to damage your hair to the point that it breaks off. Leave the dyes alone for about a week - - and when you do this again, try using a non-lye based product. And try to find some gentle product, if you decide to do it yourself. Also, best to leave it to the professionals for a while - - did you check back with the salon who did your hair?
Another tip - - never try to go full force to that dramatic change, do it gradually - - like gradually lighten or darken your hair - - PLUS nearly any product I have seen always stress that you do a strain test first to rule any allergic reactions.
