But last Thursday I broke out again, this time mostly just itchy red bumps, a few splotches on my arms. Last time the Dr prescribed benadryl and zantacs, and my completely covered body cleared up in less than 48 hrs. This time, I figured id avoid the hospital since I dont have insurance, military id or a local naval hospital. I tried the benadryl thing, it didn't help. Oatmeal baths sooth
the itching for a few hrs, and lessens the red color, but by the next morning,
it's back. I dont know what to do, Whatt the cause was, anything. All I know is it keeps spreading, it's latest feat, has been my feet. :( it itches so bad that I can't sleep. I have a few unlikely culprits, but I can't think of a legit cause.
I'm getting worried and I'm afraid I'll have to pay for an er visit soon. Do you know of any other potential causes? I'm starting to think that by the way benadryl can't clear it up, it's something worse than just a reaction. Any advice is much appreciated! Thanks!
that it's not
Brittany - It's an alergic reaction to something in your house or around. I can't take anything with pencilin in it or I'll break in hives xD So it's an allergic reaction, I hope you found out why!
ReplyDeleteLouise - Well I'm not an expert but I've had the same thing for 6 weeks now & have tried a few things - I changed my washing powder & got a shower gel & lotion for sensitive skin. Those didn't really help me but yours could be caused by something different to mine.
ReplyDeleteI'm now fairly sure mine is caused by a reaction to certain synthetic fabrics - esp polyester. I've cut those fabrics out as much as possible this week & my rash is a lot better. Try fabrics that let your skin beathe, cotton or silk for example.
