I am starting to get all 4 wisdom teeth in. I was having swollen tissue and gum area around my bottom right one so i went into the dentist. they took a xray and looked at them and said they were coming in straight. he then said well i recomend you get them out because there hard to clean and can cause
infection. i am in no pain whatsoever from them exept the obvious tenderness of the gums due to a tooth coming in. Id rather not go get a surgery that im not in desperate need for. should i get them out or nah?
Joe - If the dentist thinks it's for the best you probably should, I had an impacted wisdom tooth which had to be taken out. It's a little sore afterwards but fine to get out.
ReplyDeleteJagamom - Depends on how badly angled it is. Overall, if they aren't coming out very cleanly, I would get them out. I'd say better to get them out younger, before they grow and cause problems later. Plus if you're in school you could get out a couple days.
ReplyDeleteMB - If they are coming in straight, there's no reason to get them out. I've got my wisdom teeth. They're perfectly straight, and I've never had an infection. And they're not any harder to clean than the rest of your teeth.
