My brothers are twins and one of them has diabetes. The woman who lives across the street from me has identical twin granddaughters and one of them has diabetes. And I just read an answer on yahoo and an answerer had said he/she has twin daughters and one is diabetic. Is this just a coincidence or does this happen a lot with twins? I know it's only three sets of twins, but still I kind of think it's ironic that I read about that and I know two sets in which one twin is diabetic. Maybe I'm just being stupid, but does that happen with twins a lot??
Cammie - It's different in every case.
ReplyDeleteI have identical daughters .One has had diabetes since she was 2.The other doesn't have diabetes.
They are 21 now.
Obviously the other twin has a very high chance of developing diabetes. She is tested and keeps an eye on it.
