Godfather of Soul - You've gotten answers regarding the physical possibilities so I'll just cover the other side since nobody has actually been given further information.
So you're saying you go hungry but no appetite which I'll assume you just lack a better way of phrasing the question.
But for me, I pretty much do the same thing with going a whole day without eating but I think in my case there is a factor that makes it possible. I tend to consume a lot of caffeine and nicotine which is an appetite suppressant.
Or maybe stress could be more prominent for you struggling through the day and by evening you are relieved to have made it without any major incidents and now feel comfortable and get hungry.
And lastly I've noticed with myself and others that the older I get the less sleep and food I need. Which probably would fall under the metabolism category.
But with the growling stomach, in my own situation if I'm dealing with stress in my life it manifests in a nervous stomach which I have no control over. I think it's hereditary in my family since my mother had extremely bad acid indigestion.
I've found Valerian Root & meditation to help deal with the stress, along with talking to others about things.
Or maybe its really just nothing and you're doing what you like to do?
