I'm a 19 year old girl, i'm average size and i exercise everyday (swimming and yoga)

My brother recently got a heart rate monitor watch for his birthday and he just measured my family's heart rates.
They all had heart rates between 70 and 90. Mine was 150.

We took it many times and it even went up to 160 at one point.

I was just laying down on the couch, watching tv. not exercising at all :S

Is this bad?

Do You Think I Could Be Developing Diabetes?

Hey

So, I'm 20, classed as obese but i'm working on it (lost three stones so far) and lately I've been wondering if I could be developing diabetes.

My mum is diabetic (type 2, was on tablet control recently changed to insulin) and my grandmother was the same.

Lately (in the past month) I have been feeling the need to urinate A LOT, like waaay more than usual. At first, I thought maybe a UTI infection but I was perscribed anti biotics over two weeks ago and I am still feeling the urge to urinate alot, especially at night time (I used to be able to sleep for almost 10 hours easilly without waking up to urinate, now I'm lucky if I manage two hours) Also, I've had the extreme thirst, and tonight I've been feeling extremely dizzy, and since my mum is diabetic i've been keeping an eye on my glucose levels and it was like 4.5 or something, after food. I have heard that it's between 4-7 but I'm not sure if that's pre food / post food to be normal. I was wondering if the dizzyness was related to the glucose level. The highest level I've had has been 7.5.

I have a doctor's appointment in a few days but what do you guys think? Any ideas on the dizzyness especially?

Heart Attack Possible?

i am a 15 year old girl, about 14 pounds over weight, and at rest my heart rate is 60 times per 50 seconds. I am having strong allergy attacks to pollen right now, as always (ear pain, running nose, cough, sneezing, head ache sinuses, that fun stuff) but this year im noticing that i have slight shortness of breath, and very faint pressure on my top chest for about a week now. i can inhale and take a deep breath fine. I have also been breathing through my mouth alot because my nose is clogged up.
is this just from the allergies? and i having a heart attack? please help. thank you

Question On Osteoporosis?

I found out a couple of months ago about my bones thining due to possible onset of osteoporosis.
I am 51 year old male, but times I feel tired and lethargic. my question is my doctor wants to start me on fosamax which is a drug that apperently rebuilds bone, but I am scared after reading up on it as to all the bad side effects it could have. My question is could anybody share their experiences with this drug if they have taken it or know of anyone who has, your input would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Why Do I Keep Getting Nosebleeds? ?

Keep getting them! I don't pick my nose, i don't bump it. I have had blood tests for clotting, high blood pressure- they've all come back clear. Sometimes i'll have 5 a week. I had it cauterized 3 months ago. Blood is always from right nostril. After one i feel shattered.
Only thing i have done which coincides with timing of them is take the pill. Mercilon. But now have changed brands and am on cervazette. Doc said pill and nose not linked.
What is wrong with me? :(

Doing Push-ups Till You Cant Do Anymore?

If I Was Given Decadron Iv, Why Am I Taking Prednisone?

I had to go to the ER for an allergic reaction.

There, they gave me Epinephrine Sub-Q and Decadron IV (10mg), Pepcid (20mg), and Benadryl (25mg) all IVP.

The doctor sent me home with an Ativan and Prednisone prescription. This morning, I am to begin taking the prednisone (6 pills @ 10mg) and taper daily 6,5,4,3,2,1. Everyone is saying this is because I can't just abruptly stop taking prednisone... but I never took it to begin with. Should I take these pills? I'm reading all the side effects and not really wanting to.

Are All Processed Foods Bad For You?

I've heard people say that absolutely all processed food is terrible for you. And I eat A LOT of processed food, but they look like healthy foods to me.
I eat kashi granola bars, kashi cereal, kashi waffles, 100% whole wheat bread, canned low sodium beans, canned chicken breast, almond and skim milk, deli slice turkey, olive oil mayo.
Are these processed foods bad for you?? I also eat fruit and veggies.

I had my root canal done about a year ago, everything has been fine up till about a few days ago. I went to the cinema and bought large sweet popcorn, which I fully finished. I Have A Really Weird Heart Flutter?

I'm currently 13, and I've been having weird episodes when my heart will suddenly start beating literally 212 beats per minute (the doctor said) and I can't even count how many times I've been to the doctor and cardiologist. My mom told me that she has been diagnosed with colon cancer, she was in the middle of a drunk midnight call - totally a different catagory. She has been an alcoholic for at least 15 years, smokes 2 packs aday, has been hating the world for at least ten years, has high blood pressure, and needless to say is depressed. Now that the background is set.....
She says she has 6 months to a year to live, she is not having surgery, not having kemo, not taking meds. She says she is going to work, then get drunk, then go to sleep.
