what is the best brand of mouthwash besides crest (apparently it gives you brown spots on your teeth) and oral-b , i was using that brand until it was recall because of some bacteria in it.. which is weird because its suppose to kill bacteria.well, thanks in advance.

ReplyDeleteFridays - Probably the best and safest mouth wash is one you make yourself, from sodium bicarbonate (baking soda).
ReplyDeleteBaking soda is a powerful antacid. The bacteria that cause decay on teeth thrive in an acid environment, and each time you eat or drink, the pH of your mouth goes down, becoming more acid. Brushing, flossing then rinsing or doing a finger scrub with sodium bicarbonate will increase the pH, making it more alkaline, which in turn creates a mouth environment that is not suitable for bacterial growth.
The added advantage of doing a finger scrub with baking soda is that it will remove stains caused by tea, coffee, tobacco and wine.
Just dip a moist finger in the powder, and scrub your teeth with that finger. Rinse well afterwards.
