ok so I don't know if I'm allergic or not to bee's,wasps, or any thing else in that category. ( sorry can't spell) ok so I found out that my grandmother is allergic to bee's and wasps and my cousin is allergic too. They have an anaphylaxis shock when stung. So anyway my parents arn't allergic to bee's or wasps. So is it possible that I could be allergic to them due to genetics? I am 14 years old and the wasps are bad this time of year. laaur - Everyone, technically are allergic to bee's, wasps etc. However, people have different immune systems and abilities of fight off the poison. This is why some people may not be effected at all, while others may be dead within a couple minutes. Its genetics - It clearly runs in your family. The best thing you can do is avoid them at all cost. You do not want to risk getting anaphylaxis. Go to the doctor to get an allergy test just to see how must of a risk you are at.
